Fia Fia was a great experience for me because it was the first time I was in the Tongan Group. It was very good since we only had 2 practices. We did a very common dance that the tongan boys do which is called the gailau we were very loud. My Friend Jabez were going hard out. I was very nervous my line of boys were all shaking as they about to go on stage we all had a prayer just before we were about to go on stage. “Give them around of applause” the announcer Shouted.
We marched on like soldiers with our spears we standed like soldiers as the little kids performed as soon as they walked the senior boys Performed we were fierce we ended our dance with a Haka “otua mo tonga go hoku tofia” we shouted. I would like to thank our teacher Ivan Mr J Joe and Mrs Hafoka.
Hi Rocky,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Meagan McRae and I am a student in EDM 310 at the University of South Alabama. Each week we are assigned a student blog to read and comment on. I had never heard of Fia Fia, so I looked it up and was really impressed. I couldn't find anything on the particular dance that you listed, but I bet your group did an awesome job. You did a very good job of setting up the scene before and after the dance. Great job on your post keep up the dancing as well as the great work!
