Magic

What Was That?

“Wake up ” something whispered. George wasn't happy “its the holidays” he replied. Slowly he crawled out of bed. walking through the hallway he could feel something was not right he could usually hear his little brothers crying and screaming but George couldn't hear them and His mum would have been burning something by now.

He got to the lounge but to his surprise no one was home wondering who whispered. George was frightened knowing that someone whispered to him. As he was about to sit down he just remembered they might be at the supermarket he thought again but why would they leave me here.

The day went bye as Georges family did not come he was now very worried. He thought to himself they do sleep for the whole day during the holiday.

He hears another noise coming from his room it whispers “wake up” he rushes to his room where he stumbles upon his alarm it says “wake up” repeatedly george must of forgot to change his alarm times.. The rest of the family were sleeping for the whole day

Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for things. Countries that celebrate Thanks Giving are Liberia,Norfolk Island,Canada,Puerto Rico and United states. When people celebrate they have a big dinner usually with a big turkey. Thanksgiving is on the 4th Thursday in November for USA Norfolk Island it is on the last Wednesday of November, In Liberia first Thursday in November, and November 27th is Puerto Rico.

On the first thanksgiving many of them played games sang songs but many of them could not eat in 1621. The first thanksgiving lasted for 3 days. Each year the President declares thanksgiving day.

Life as a Auckland kid and syria

Rocky narrative:

Waking up in the morning in my warm blankets I decided to get ready for school. While having a warm shower I could hear my mum making my lunch. I kissed my mum goodbye as I walked out the door.

The sound of gunshots echoed through the air as I jumped out of bed onto the cold firm floor as I heard my baby sister screaming out for help.

Arriving to school I can meet school mates the bell rings me and my friends go to class. we go to our literacy classes I knew this was gonna be a good day.

My mum keep us all calm as we hide from the rebels that are going to kill us. Will I see another day i got to say it was not a

good day.

Looking for wood to keep my family warm I find anything I can to keep my family warm. We live in a tent with 10 people we have to share blankets almost everything.

After school I would get picked up from my mum we would go home. as soon as I get home I lye on the couch and play game.

Waitangi Trip

This waitangi trip was amazing for me because I made connections with my family. Whaea Emma told me about my maori side of the family like the wihongi’s. I have found out that Hone Heke a maori Chief of Ngapuhi Is my tupuna. He was in the musket wars. Thank you for helping me make connections with my whanau and my tupuna. I was very blessed for having Mr Gemmell for coming and asking his mentor about my whanau this was my highlight of my week in Waitangi
